The classes are based on the original Chinese Chen style Tai Chi form, which dates back over 400 years. Created as a martial art, the holistic health benefits of Chen style Tai Chi and increased life expectancy shown by practitioners were soon recognised and are the main reasons thousands of people practise today.
As well as increased fitness Tai Chi also helps improve balance, abdominal breathing, blood circulation, coordination, digestion and quickens reflexes. It also calms the mind and helps increase the flow of the body’s natural inner Chi (Qi) energy.

The forms and movements taught in the class are easy to learn and can be practised comfortably at home, giving students the skills to enhance their life enjoyment.
